Blue C Helps Light Up the Launch of Edison Apartments
NewsBlue C is excited to highlight a recent collaboration with Edison Apartments by Waterton in Downtown Long Beach. Blue C was chosen to produce video, web, and brand storytelling in celebration of the property’s recent grand opening. This stylish and unique high-rise residential living space offers numerous distinctive elements that were key points in the messaging and branding direction.
While encompassing numerous modern conveniences at Edison, the historical significance of the building is also evident in the mid-century modern style and design aesthetic. Originally constructed in 1959 as an office tower, the building was the first all-electric building in Downtown Long Beach. Blue C paid homage to this historical component with a mix of mid-century film clips and light bulb imagery displayed amongst the sophisticated backdrop of the Long Beach skyline. Key elements that are highlighted in the Blue C produced content include the roof top pool and sky lounge, the state of the art fitness center and yoga studio, residents’ lounge with kitchen, screening area and gaming, unique bicycle storage, electric car stations, beautifully renovated historic lobby, and overall aerial footage of the property.
Tying all these key-messaging points into a classic video montage presentation was key to attracting the modern working professional that seeks a living community like Edison. Blue C created the primary minute and a half promotional video for use on Edison Apartments’ YouTube channel, a minute long Instagram edit, and social posts to promote these channels and content.
Blue C Goes Bigger with Alpine Electronics
NewsBlue C was recently selected to support audio industry giant Alpine Electronics with an inclusive product launch campaign for their all-new X110 Restyle In-Dash Solution. As part of Alpine’s popular “Restyle” series of vehicle specific in-dash system upgrades, the X110 is designed for the popular Chevrolet Silverado (X110-SLV) and GMC Sierra (X110-SRA) pickup trucks. In replacing the standard 4.2” and 8” screen with an impressive 10” screen display, the campaign was appropriately titled “Go Bigger. Go Beyond.”
While the larger screen certainly allows consumers to “Go Bigger”, the numerous technological features also enable customers to “Go Beyond” with this new system. This industry innovation is also smartphone capable and can control all of the user’s favorite music options including playback control. Vehicle backup and parking cameras for both front and rear are also utilized in the larger 10” display screen.
To highlight all these impressive features, Blue C’s film team produced a series of short films for web, sales presentations, retail usage and social media applications including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Filmed at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, California the content keeps with the precision styled yet rugged feel for the product and its application in one of today’s best selling pickup trucks. In addition to the X110 product launch, Blue C also executed campaign support collateral for Jeep dealers to communicate the launch and application of the 9-inch “Restyle” unit for specified Wrangler vehicles.

Ninebot | Segway and Blue C Roll Out of a Successful CES
NewsThe annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – one of the largest electronics and technology trade shows in the world – just concluded its annual exhibit of new products and technology in Las Vegas. One of the highlights among the excitement was the partnership created by Blue C and Ninebot | Segway to launch an exciting new product into the market: the Ninebot by Segway miniPRO along with its groundbreaking Intel Personal Robot.
The Ninebot by Segway miniPRO is the ultimate personal transportation device. With a powerful, high-performance lithium-ion battery for sustainable power, the miniPRO has a range up to 18.6 miles on a single charge with a top-speed of 11 mph. The Ninebot by Segway miniPRO features a hands-free rider layout with patented self-balancing technology. Consumers will be able to download the Ninebot by Segway App to monitor speed, enable a tamper-proof alarm and remotely operate an unmanned unit.
Along with the exciting debut of the Ninebot by Segway miniPRO, the creation of an additional feature for the product was revealed with the Intel Advanced Personal Robot. This revolutionary feature turns your Ninebot by Segway miniPRO into a robot that has a unique open platform design. This platform will allow developers the ability to create apps for the device that will expand its capabilities to areas that consumers have never seen. Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel added, “The most important thing is that we designed this Segway to be an open platform. Developers worldwide can innovate on top of this platform to come up with all kinds of cool new uses… it will truly be an open framework.”
To create the successful launch platform of these revolutionary products, Blue C produced comprehensive brand architecture, an all-encompassing brand storytelling video featuring all Segway brand products, onsite interactive kiosk presentations, as well as a product specific miniPRO video. These efforts were combined with print collateral in addition to the presence of Brand Ambassadors and pro flatland BMX rider, Adam Kun from Budapest, Hungary at the Ninebot | Segway CES booth. A strong social media presence across all media channels was also used to help build the awareness of the miniPRO and in collaboration with our partners at Rhythm, Blue C brought a fresh new look to the online presence of the brand with a complete re-design at Segway.com.
The Ninebot by Segway miniPRO captured the attention of thousands of tradeshow attendees as well as noteworthy celebrities such as Shaquille O’Neal, HGTV’s “The Property Brothers” and even the infamous Stevie Wonder. The press was equally excited about the miniPRO leading to onsite interviews with Forbes, BBC, AOL, Associated Press and a variety of other trade and consumer press.
Blue C Joins Red Kap to Build “The Craftsmen Series”

Blue C brings to life The Craftsmen Series for client Red Kap, the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive workwear. Red Kap is a division of VF Imagewear, Inc., which is part of VF Corporation, the world’s largest apparel manufacturer. The Craftsmen Series profiles talented builders from the automotive and motorcycle industries. Blue C created this new series designed to build authenticity and customer recognition for the Red Kap brand through the use of segmented print ads, social media, promotional support, event activation and video content. We aimed to provide the audience with engaging storytelling from prominent and authentic Red Kap craftsmen who have a passion for their craft. Blue C produced engaging content capturing each builder’s relatable story, passion and craftsmanship. Featured in The Craftsmen Series are three custom builders: Pro BMX rider and classic car builder Heath Pinter, Matt Harris of 40Cal Customs, and Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hot Rods.

THE CRAFTSMEN:
Heath Pinter is a BMX Pro-rider and classic car builder. Pinter’s videos showcase his passion for fabricating some of the coolest custom hot rods around by mixing traditional styles with modern flair. Pinter’s unique build style and relentless pursuit for improving his skills has made him a natural fit to be featured in this series.
Matt Harris of 40Cal Customs first burst into the custom bike scene when he appeared on Discovery Channel’s Bike Live TV Show. A proper southern gentleman, Harris was selected for The Craftsmen Series because he is a builder true to his craft, a devoted family man and a hardworking entrepreneur who is passionate about building bikes and living the American dream. Troy Ladd brings a classic style and unmatched attention to detail to his traditionally inspired vehicles. With “Best in Show” and “Builder of the Year” awards to his credit and TV shows such as Ultimate Car Build Off (2010) and American Icon: The Hot Rod (2010), Ladd is the perfect fit for The Craftsmen Series. He is an authentic American designer who has proven time and again that his builds are some of the most creative and timeless hot rods on the road. Watch video here.
